When starting art and asked to select a subject for her first painting Jeanette chose a portrait of Van Gogh, she has loved oils ever since with her style evolving from traditional art and portraits to abstraction.  

 

“I love to mix colour - play with different texture the way it all works - moving with you to create something interesting even subjective” her genre sometimes blurs the line between realism and imagination believing in mark making to respond in a personal way to what she sees.

 

Living in a picturesque Australian State Park where every window looks onto the environment is her current body of work.  

 

Being in business enabled Jeanette to receive commissions hold exhibitions and sell through other hospitality and service businesses –2013 when awarded Gold Prize Contemporary Jeanette met artists wanting to form a contemporary art group - she became an inaugural committee member of SECAN.
