A hunger for knowledge about art has taken Janine Good on a creative life journey exploring various artistic styles in Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Sculpture, completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Monash University in 2001.
Her current body of work explores informal Rituals of Australian contemporary life. Themes explored have included the flamboyance of a country Racing day, a melancholy funeral memorial on a remote beach and documentation of Melbourne’s vibrant music scene capturing the movement, energy and colour of a contemporary band.
This last theme won the Dick Bishop Memorial Award at Latrobe Regional Gallery in 2013.
